After yet more time away, we're back again! Last year was a year of many changes, the biggest changes being geographical. We moved to Colorado at the beginning of 2014...and for various reasons, by mid-August, we were moving back to North Carolina. More than twenty five hours driving through nine states (with one rest stop, one hotel, and numerous gas
stations) with two vehicles, three adults, a one-year old and two huskies...woo, what an adventure! Our little boy was still little enough at the time to sleep for much of the ride, and the huskies did great hanging out in the backseat with him.
Last year was not the easiest year -- adjusting to life with a little one around, moving (repeatedly), flying every few months, very tight finances, and the deaths of a much-loved grandma and barely week-old nephew, to name a few. There were great things about last year too, of course -- exploring new places, watching my son take in all the new sights and learning new skills, and precious moments with family. All in all, though, I'm glad for the new year to be here. I'm determined to make it a great year, and though it's been off to a bit of a slow, somewhat downer of a start, I feel that things are on the verge of being better.
So here's hoping it's a great year for everyone! :)
And now, a few shots of the huskies on our long drive back "home" last year...
Welcome back! Glad you've weathered 2014 and all the difficulty times it brought. Here's hoping that 2015 is a much better year for you and the family...and the huskies of course.
ReplyDeleteHope you are settled in for a while!
