Versatile Blogger Award

Basset Momma has awarded us the Versatile Blogger Award! Thank you, Basset Momma!

In order to accept this award we have to follow a few simple rules.

1. Add the award to your blog.
2. Thank the person who gave you the award.
3. Mention 7 random things about yourself.
4 .List the rules.
5 .Pass the award onto 15 bloggers
6. Inform each of those 15 by leaving a comment on their blog.

Seven random things about Isabella:

--She thinks she's a lap dog. She wasn't like that as a little puppy, but now, at 50+ pounds, she loves it. Her favorite time to lay on our laps is at night, when we've settled down on the couch/recliner to watch our recorded shows. She may nap there anywhere from a few minutes to an hour or more, depending on how hot she gets (or if we end lap time early).
--She has perfected "the glare," usually given to me or my husband when she feels she's been put in her pen too early or for no good reason.
--She's the most finicky/particular pooper I've every met or seen. She's very particular about when and where she'll go. Been like that since she was a puppy. Also how she earned the nickname "Princess."
--She's never met a stranger. Loves meeting all people and dogs.
--Sometimes she sleeps with her eyes open. Very freaky looking, because usually her eyes are moving.
--She's a daddy's girl. Loves to curl up with her daddy, and play fight/box with him, too. Also makes sure to let him know if he hasn't paid her enough attention. :)
--She's our escape con artist of the two. Since moving into the house we're in now, she's escaped our screened-in porch 4 times (even with a barricade blocking the door).

Seven random things about Jake:

--He is a WHINER. Always has been, probably always will be (unfortunately). This in on top of his natural husky howling.
--He HATES being left alone. If I stay in sight outside with Isabella, he stays fairly calm, but if I move from sight (like when I've taken them for separate walks), he goes crazy and won't hush. I contribute this to him always having siblings around him, both before we got him and now with Isabella.
--He LOVES to lick. It's his favorite way to greet someone. Hands are a given, and faces and necks are an extra treat.
--When he's in trouble, he rolls over so you can rub his belly. It's his peace offering.
--He's the klutziest dog. He can fall off just about anything, whether he's walking, sitting or standing. (See Walking on Air blog post.)
--Unlike Isabella, he barks at other dogs, at least until he's given them a good sniffing and checking out (it also helps if his big sister seems okay with the stranger). I'm guessing it's because he's a boy.
--He has a routine dream cycle almost every night. Right about the time we fall asleep, he starts up, barking (thankfully in a muted way) in his sleep, with or without moving his paws about. We catch Isabella doing it from time to time, but not near as regularly as Jake does.
